"Follow the money" was a quote often used in the famous movie about the 1973 Watergate Scandal in thernUnited States. It is also good advice when trying to work out the possible impact of any Strategic Defence Review (SDR) in the United Kingdom. When UK Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth announced the launching of the SDR last July, media pundits were quick to recommend the cancellation of this project or scrapping of that programme.
