It is rare these days that Republican and Democratic lawmakers - and the President - agree on legislation. But they did just that last year when the Federal Buildings Personnel Training Act became law. I'm proud to say that AFE was one of 33 organizations - including our partners ASHRAE and IFMA - which promoted the legislation. Many of our members, some of whom read about the proposed legislation in AFE's Weekly Headlines and AFE Legislative Alerts, wrote their legislators to support the Act. In addition, AFE leaders made numerous visits to Capitol Hill to let legislators know why this bill was so important both for federal workers and their constituents.
