Training Training, Training: The Should-Be Mantra for Facility owners & Managers

Historically, human error causes as much as two-thirds of all failures and unplanned outages in facilities. Failures due to human error can increase if risk mitigation measures arc not in place, especially if there is significant rate of turnover in operations and maintenance (O&M) staff. The risks involved in both having to train new employees in a timely manner and the gaps created by the departure of experienced staff members can challenge the reliability of a facility.
