Lockheed Martin delivers structure for communications satellite

The flight structure for the second Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) spacecraft was delivered last month by Lockheed Martin, allowing the team of Lockheed Martin Space Systems (LMSS), Sunnyvale, CA, the AEHF prime contractor, and Northrop Grumman Space Technology (NGST), Redondo Beach, CA, the payload supplier, to begin component installation and payload integration. The AEHF system will provide global, highly secure, protected, survivable communications for all warfighters serving under the U.S. Department of Defense.
