The STEM of SAE

In February, I participated as a speaker at the "Partnering for Results in STEM Education" briefing presented by the U.S. House of Representatives' STEM Education Caucus. Established by Reps. Vern Ehlers (R-MI) and Mark Udall (D-CO), this caucus is designed to address the need for comprehensive STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education for students throughout the United States. SAE International was invited to participate because of its award-winning A World In Motion (AWIM) program. After the release of the "A Nation at Risk" report in 1983, the mobility industry became concerned about the future of math and science education in the United States.
