Understanding combustor design and performance issues using alternative fuels is a step toward understanding aviation's impact on climatic change and energy independence. To that end, and using CFD, researchers from Flow Parametrics, NASA - Glenn Research Center, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) compared the performance of various fuel types.
