Synthetic futures

Green was the theme of the Paris Air Show this year, and that topic seemed to be on the minds of the readers and editors of Aerospace Engineering when it came time for picking 2007's Top Technologies (p. 25). Two of the 10 technologies are related to recent advances in the study of alternative fuels, one is about a fuel-cell emergency power system, and one is an update on the Silent Aircraft Initiative.
