Airbus uses a rail system to help build the A400M

Airbus is using a special-purpose, bogie-mounted machine on a 60-m-long rail system to manufacture major parts of the A400M military transport. Designed, developed, and manufactured by production engineering specialists AMTRI for Airbus' Filton, UK, wing-manufacturing facility, it is a sophisticated rn5x2 axis CNC machine that automatically drills and fettles leading and trailing edge assemblies for the aircraft's wings.
