Sir, Seeing the photo of D.H.89A Rapide G-AGSH in residence at Old Warden in the May 2009 issue of Aeroplane triggered many fond memories of the time I was her pilot. In particular it recalled one most unusual entry in her Operations Manual, dating from her days spent with BEA, In 1965 I was posted as flight commander to the Andover OCU at RAF Abingdon, home to No 1 Parachute Training School. We were awaiting the arrival of the first Andover CC.1, which did not occur until July 1, 1966.
