I remember it vividly and if I get into a Dak now I am taken right back, as they all smell the same.rnWhat prompted your career in aviation? That isrnquite difficult. I can't remember anything specific, it was just something I wanted to do. It was possibly that first flight. The key was working out that I could afford it -as it was £12.50 an hour!
