Use Visual FoxPro to Generate Really Simple Syndication (RSS)

In my article in the September 2006 issue, I discussed what Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is, showed the structure of a typical RSS 2.0 feed, and presented some examples of VFP code consuming RSS. Subscribers can read this article at http://My.Advisor.com /doc/18036. In this issue I'll show you how to generate RSS with VFP. Because RSS files contain XML, which is really just formatted text, and VFP excels at manipulating text, generating RSS from VFP is fairly easy. To make it even easier, I'll use a set of wrapper classes to do the hard work.
