摘要

The numerical simulation of a large excavation (145 m x 165 m) for the construction of a watch production centre is described in this paper. A coupled 2 phase three dimensional non-linear finite element analysis was conducted with Z_Soil 3D v5 [Z_Soil 2002 User manual, 1985-2002] in order to verify and optimise the designed retaining system as well as to carefully predict the settlements, as many existing manufactures stand in the surroundings.
