摘要

This special issue includes extended, reviewed and revised papers presented at The Tenth International Conference on Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering Computing (Civil-Comp 2005) and The Eighth International Conference on the Application of Artificial Intelligence to Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering (AICivil-Comp 2005), held concurrently in Rome, Italy from 30 August to 2 September 2005. The six papers includes in this special issue demonstrate the wide range of topics covered by these Conferences. The first paper by Skolicki, Arciszewski, Houck and De Jong is concerned with the use of a new co-evolutionary generation of terrorist scenarios which are demonstrated with respect to the water distribution for a small town.
