Chaos based Encryption Mechanism for Wireless Local Area Network Authentication

Safe and secure wireless networks are always a major challenge for researchers and practitioners. Unauthorized access and illegal entry are two security threats, which worsen the functioning of the Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN). This work describes a novel Chaos based Bio-cryptic Security aware Packet Scheduling algorithm (CBSPS) to strengthen the security levels in the WLAN, which combines Chaos based biometric encryption and various levels of security in WLAN. The results of CBSPS algorithm was compared with the existing mechanism like Improved Bio-cryptic Security aware Packet Scheduling algorithm (IBSPS) and Double Bio-cryptic Security aware Packet Scheduling algorithm (DBSPS). The outcome of the results, prove that the proposed CBSPS works outperform the IBSPS and DBSPS work in terms of overall performance and computation time while maintaining the same amount of security level.
