Proquest, Gale, Others Show New Products At Ala Midwinter Meeting

In addition to the vendors covered in AT/L's February issue, ProQuest, Gale, H.W. Wilson, and Auto-Graphics were among the companies announcing new products at the ALA Midwinter Meeting. Product coverage will conclude in the April issue of AT/L.rnProQuest (789 E. Eisenhower Parkway, P.O. Box 1346, Ann Arbor, Ml 48106, 734/761-4700) introduced ProQuest Digital Microfilm service, a new technology that provides microfilm with an intuitive online interface; launched GradShare, the first free online ques-tion-and-answer community designed to help graduate students navigate the complexities of graduate life; announced the fall 2009 availability of Paley Center Seminars as well as the availability of American Periodicals from the Center for Research Libraries during the second quarter of this year; and launched Middle East Newsstand, a collection of current Middle Eastern newspapers available through a single interface. The company also announced all products hosted on the ProQuest platform are now Shibboleth compliant, affirming its commitment to working with emerging library standards.
