摘要

The introduction of donor-acceptor heterojunctions rendered small molecules and conjugated polymers attractive candidates for the fabrication of flexible cost-efficient power sources. In particular, polymer bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells based on interpenetrating networks of electron-donor and -acceptor materials have undergone considerable development, including improvements in organic synthesis and fabrication methods. Despite the relatively low efficiency in comparison with conventional inorganic solar cells, the potential of roll-to-roll processing and large-area processa-bility on flexible low-cost substrates renders conjugated polymer-based organic solar cells (OSCs) very attractive as a cost-effective solution to the problem of energy shortage.
