摘要

In the past years, the intercalation of guest organic molecules (or polymers) into layered hosts has drawn much attention from both fundamental and practical viewpoints. The layer-by-layer assembly of various nanoscale materials and functional molecules may allow us to tailor "superlattices" or "supramolecular systems", through which one can design complex functions that can not be achieved using a single materials. As an important functional material with wide applications (e.g., in catalysts, magnetic materials, ion-sieves, supercapa-citors, batteries, and others), manganese oxides have been widely studied over the past decades. In recent years. many efforts have been devoted to intercalate guest organic molecules (e.g., molecular or polymer) into layered manganese oxides, because the novel structure of intercalated layered manganese oxide can provide unique functions that can not be achieved by using conventional manganese oxides.
