Nanostructural and morphological designs of metals have attracted intensive attention because of their effectiveness in tuning electronic, optical, magnetic, and catalytic properties. In particular, synthesis of nanostructured gold (Au) with controllable size and shape has become the critical aim of extensive research over the last few years due to the unique properties of the nanostructured Au, such as chemical stability, high conductivity, catalytic activity, and surface plasmon resonance (SPR).
