Safety is of course crucial in terminal operation but tyre performance measurements usually revolve around stability and longevity. Stability is not only important from a safety perspective. Most port handling equipment involves very precise alignment of twistlocks and corner castings during operation and the stability of tyres plays a significant role in this.
