New operator for Tilbury rail terminal

Operations at the Riverside Rail Terminal at the UK port of Tilbury have been taken over by Maritime Transport (MT).The move marks MT's first step into rail terminal operations and is part of a wider plan to develop rail connected operations at strategic locations around the country to encourage more intermodal transport. MT has taken over the existing rail contracts and aims to increase train throughput by bringing new services to the terminal.rnThe four-acre facility, Known as "Tilbury Railport", the facility is an established andrnproven common-user facility.
