摘要

Librarians are somewhat like car owners. Some are just interested in knowing how things work whereas others want to get under the hood and get their hands dirty. In this issue, we've tried to give something for everyone-starting with a review of a book of general interest, moving onto more technical works on the use of databases and programming for the Wweb, and concluding with some specific examples of code that anyone is welcome to try out and adapt for their own purposes.
