摘要

The objective of this discussion is to contribute with suggestions so that the authors can improve their analyses. Some essential topics will be highlighted and are based on a simple preliminary statistical analysis of the results obtained in the tests. The number of samples is too small to reach an effective conclusion about the study presented. The failures of Specimens S0 and S1 occurred by pushing; therefore, they should be disregarded because the research is on the behavior of slabs under bending. Consequently, the number of samples is reduced to just five. The various research parameters, such as reinforcement geometric ratio of the fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) with different mechanical parameters in the longitudinal and transverse directions, double reinforcement on a slab, variable reinforcement in two directions, and so on, in the opinion of the discussers, make it difficult to achieve consistent conclusions.
