Proton-coupled electron transfers (PCETs) are omnipresent innnatural and artificial chemical processes. Given the contempo-nrary challenges associated with energy conversion, pollution abate-nment, and the development of high-performance sensors, a greaternunderstanding of the mechanisms that underlie the practical effi-nciency of PCETs is a timely research topic.
