Don't get me wrong. I love the Access report writer. And I have friends who can make it sing and dance. But not every piece of printed output is a report. Sometimes, you want to create printed forms, heavily formatted documents, or results that aren't organized around individual rows in a table. Alternatively, sometimes you have must send a non-Access user a report. In any of these scenarios, it makes sense to take advantage of Microsoft Word. If you're using Word 2003, you have a powerful tool for creating documents from Access data using a little XML. As you'll see, even if you use Word 2003 to create a document, any Word user can read it.
