North House in Hanayama/South House in Hanayama

"House in Hanayama" stands upon a high site alongside a mountain, situated towards western Kobe. The port of Kobe spreads beneath to the southeast, and to the northeast one can see the slope of the historical landmark of Hiyodori-goe closely approaching. It is in a privileged location with its west surrounded by nearby hills, and a spacious site located behind it. These two houses serve as homes for siblings and each of their families. Upon the completion of the "North House," the "South House" began to materialize. Its plans were completed between the April and November of the following year in 1966.
