摘要

A research and accommodation facility for postgraduate education. The fagade is covered in its entirety with panel units of 1,800mm × 4,200mm, each composed by affixing 21 circular aluminum frames fitted with glass-disks. Out of 21 panels 12 are open and 9 are fixed, thereby creating a thermal barrier through automated sun-shading and simultaneous ventilation. As part of the research it features a solar panel on its north side, and plans to cater for the building's entire electricity in the future.
