IntroductionPharmacovigilance is the branch of science that deals with the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse reactions to medicines (i.e., adverse drug reactions or ADRs). The purpose of pharmacovigilance is to implement the safe and rational use of medicines, which ultimately helps in improving patient care.
