An instructional development team from The Consortium of the California State University describes its first venture with the corporate world in the development of computer software. A “TestMaker” authoring system was designed to meet the needs of an external degree nursing program and pharmaceutical house. The system's program design and evaluation procedures compose the major portion of the paper.
