摘要

Around April of each year, residency program directors of all specialties begin their Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) required annual program review and update. As part of this review, faculty and residents update their rotation specific objectives (RSO) for each residency rotation. The RSO is a part of the overall resident curriculum and is meant to outline each rotation’s educational experience, as well as to define the skills, knowledge, and attitudes expected on each rotation. The experiences provided on each rotation should comply with the ACGME core competencies that are mandated by the Residency Review Committee.
