浅析德莱塞《美国悲剧》中的色彩意象

文学的色彩语言作为一种符号能寄寓人物心理变化,进而会影响读者审美感受.德莱塞文学书写所选择的颜色中,文学的色彩已不是物理意义上的色彩,而是具有特定内涵的色彩意象.作者有意选择人物所需要的色彩,形成某种特定的情感表达,使之与读者形成共鸣.德莱塞利用美国文化的背景,努力挖掘色彩涵义,其《美国悲剧》中所写黑白色寄寓肃穆,棕蓝色寄寓厄运,黄色寄寓失落,将具有一定的内涵的色彩意象与隐含的读者的主观情感融合达成了独特的美学效果.%The literary color language as symbol contains the psychological changes of characters, and then influences the aesthetic emotion of readers. The color Dreiser chooses in his writing is not the physical sense of color but the color imagery of specific connotation. The author intends to select the color characters need to make certain motional expression so as to reach consonance with readers. In An American Tragedy, Dreiser making use of American culture and exploring the color connotation, black and white are metaphorized solemn, brown and blue misfortune and yellow lost, which combines certain connotative color imagery and the implicit subjective emotion readers have create a unique aesthetic effect.
