In China, intangible cultural heritages in economically developed areas are usually well protected and utilized. In some economically underdeveloped areas, the intangible cultural heritage cannot be properly protected and utilized. In order to improve the status quo, we must improve the attention on intangible cultural heritage in underdeveloped areas, strengthen the protection measures, promote its application in social development and realize the sustainable development of intangible cultural heritage in these areas.
