The buckling restrained brace is a component commonly used in structural seismic design, and how to evaluate the structural damping effect after buckling restrained brace layout, has become a hot field. A dormitory project in Qujing is taken as an example, this paper studies the small earthquake response of the structure before and after the setting of BRB. By comparing the change of shear and lateral displacement, the damping effect is studied by using the BRB. The results have given a theoretical basis for the damping effect of a dormitory building.%屈曲约束支撑是结构减震设计中常用的元件,如何评价布置屈曲约束支撑后结构减震效果,是结构界关注的热点.本文以曲靖地区某宿舍楼工程为例,研究设置防屈曲耗能支撑前后,结构在小震下的地震响应.通过对比剪力、侧移的变化,研究了采用屈曲约束支撑的减震效果.研究结果为宿舍楼的减震效果给出了理论依据.
