There are quite a lot of hydraulic connection types between the aquifers, and there are great differences between the calculation method and the detection technology of the same type of water quantity prediction. Based on the analysis of the hydrogeological characteristics of the coal bearing strata in North China, it is divided into 4 basic types according to the geometry characteristics of the water rich structure.
