For TD-SCDMA networks covering the expressway, appling high gain antennas can extend cells’ coverage, improved the co-located percentage of base stations, and reduced cost of network construction. On the other hand, regarding to the roads existing frequent handover, adopting the cell merging technique can decrease handover times and promote the coverage continuity of TD-SCDMA networks in the expressway. Furthermore, using cell merging will result in better customer perception such as quality of voice and download rates, higher carrier effi ciency and less construction cost.%通过在高速公路TD-SCDMA网络中使用高增益天线,可以增加小区覆盖距离,提升基站共址率,降低网络建设成本;而在频繁切换路段采用小区合并技术,可以减少小区切换,提升高速公路TD-SCDMA网络覆盖连续性,提升话音质量和下载速率等客户感知,同时提升载频利用率,节约建设成本。
