During the development process of Chinese socialist cultural construction, it is very important for the current Chinese development strategy to speed up the development of traditional culture, and highlight national spirits and achieve the goal of “strong cultural country”. As a multi-nationalities collective province, Hubei province locates in a transitional zone in geographical position; as a multi-nationalities settlement province, it owns various excellent traditional national culture. During the cultural inheritance and development , sports events development and evolution as well as sports cultural inheritance development tend to become more diversified. Therefore, combining with present market economy, how to promote the work of " Strong Cultural Province ", and how to highlight and inherit traditional national sports culture in Hubei province have become an important challenge that should be confronted at present.%在当下我国社会主义文化建设发展过程当中，通过加快发展传统文化，弘扬民族精神，实现“文化强国”是当下我们国家发展战略中的重要范畴。湖北省作为一个多民族聚集的省份，在地理位置上处于一个过渡地带，作为一个多民族聚居的省份，它拥有多种优秀的民族传统文化，而在文化的传承与发展当中，体育项目的发展演变以及体育文化的传承也发展的更加多样化，如何结合当下市场经济下更好的推动“文化强省”工作，更好地弘扬和传承湖北省民族传统体育文化，就成为当下所面临的重要挑战。
