Expression and clinical implication of p27 and p57 in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and Bowen's disease

摘要

Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of cyclin dependent kinase inhibitors p27 and p57 in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and Bowen's disease. Methods:The expression of p27 and p57 were evaluated in 10 normal skin tissues,25 Bowen's disease(BD) and 30 cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma(SCC) with immunohisto-chemistrical staining. Results:The levels of p27 protein expression in SCC were dramatically lower than those in normal skin and BD(P < 0.05). The levels of p57 protein expression in SCC were dramatically lower than those in normal skin and BD(P < 0.05). There was a positive correlation between p27 and p57(r = 0.469,P < 0.05). Conclusion:The decrease of p27 and skp2 may be used for considering the biological behavior of human cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and Bowen's disease.
