佛教雕塑的经典依据——推介《造像量度经》一书

过去我们在研究和考察我国古代佛教雕塑时常提到这些佛教雕塑,都是依据重要的《造像量度经》,但我还从未见到过《造像量度经》。这一次是从一位从事佛教雕塑的朋友那里,得到了一册非常难以见到的《造像量度经》,它是一册古旧的非常珍贵的线装木版书。我感到非常高兴。当即进行了翻阅,它是＂经书＂,内中有不少难以读懂的语句和生僻字。经我反复细度之后,终于能理解＂经书＂的一些主旨。但是有不少未能充分理解之处,还需要行家和同行们共同研究和理解。%There is a wide variety of techniques in Chinese painting, but books on systematic theories of sculpture techniques are scarce, and, if any, the techniques are mostly handed down orally from master to apprentice. That is why there is few systematic theories of sculpture techniques in written form handed down from the past. Therefore, the book Utterances on Statue-making and Iconometry is the most authoritative work with the most comprehensive and systematic theories on sculpture techniques as it is. Now, I would like to give a brief introduction to the book just from the following several aspects.
