In the nineteenth century, the realism quietly rose, and the British novelist Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Eyre" is the most important work. Through introducing the childhood experiences of Jane Eyre and her love story with Rochester, this paper at-tempts to explore Jane Eyre's deep spiritual core:a female char-acter with a humble birth and a twisted living road, but she al-ways adheres to the maintenance of independent personality, the pursuit of individual freedom and the advocation of life equality, and she also dares to fight for freedom.% 19世纪现实主义悄然崛起,英国小说家夏洛利·勃朗特的《简·爱》便是其扛鼎之作。本文试图通过简·爱的童年经历及与罗切斯特之间一波三折的爱情故事,探究简·爱的深层精神内核院一个出身低微、生活道路曲折,却始终坚持维护独立人格、追求个性自由、主张人生平等、敢于反抗、敢于争取自由,不向人生低头的坚强女性形象。
