大学英语教学中通用英语与专业英语的重要性对比--以安徽大学为例

In different universities, the implementation of college English education has their unique features. However, general English and special English are not divided clearly in most uni-versities. In Anhui University, not all its departments and col-leges have special English course, and students of many depart-ments and colleges even don't know whether their departments or colleges have special English course. In the background that general English is emphasized in today's universities, whether general English or special English is important has become a hot topic. This paper analyzes this issue and proposes suggestions on English education reform in Anhui Province.%对于不同高校而言，大学英语教育的开展具有多样化、个性化的特征。然而多数高校对通用英语与专业英语却没有明确划分，以安徽大学为例，并不是所有院系的都开设了专业英语课程，甚至很多院系的学生都不知道自己的院系是否有专业英语课程。在当今高校以通用英语教学为重的背景下，通用英语与专业英语孰轻孰重已成为热门话题。文章在此论点上进行分析，并针对安徽大学英语教育改革提出建议。
