Based on five defined polluted regions of the Taihu Lake basin, different water quality indices of 29 inflow and outflow rivers around Taihu Lake were measured, and the characteristics of the spatial-temporal variations were analyzed. The aim of this study is to provide basic information for prevention and control of the eutrophication of Taihu Lake. The results showed that the rivers in the northern heavily polluted control regions were polluted more seriously than those in other polluted regions. The overall pollution intensity order was: northern heavily polluted control region > western heavily polluted control region > polluted control region of western Zhejiang Province > eastern polluted control region. As compared with historical data from the past ten years, this indicates that the water quality of rivers around Taihu Lake may be showing chenges for better tendency, while the inflow river pollution was still severe. Reducing the amount of nitrogen into the river is the most important.%针对太湖流域所划分的5个污染控制区,对各区共29条主要环太湖河流水质指标进行了测定,分析其时空变化特征,旨在为合理预防和治理太湖水体富营养化提供依据.结果表明,北部重污染控制区内河流污染最为严重,并呈现出北部重污染控制区>湖西重污染控制区>浙西污染控制区>东部污染控制区的趋势.对比10年来历史数据表明,环太湖河流水质呈好转趋势,但现状仍不容乐观.入湖河流污染问题依然严峻,而削减氮入河量是太湖入湖河流治理的重中之重.
