等高线自动综合方法的研究进展

             

摘要

等高线是地图上一类特殊的曲线要素,由于其具有复杂、密集、多样等特点,成为地图综合的重点和难点。众多学者从不同角度出发研究等高线的综合,目前已经提出了很多等高线自动综合算法,这些方法解决了等高线综合的众多问题,但还没有一种算法能够很好地解决等高线的自动综合问题。这些方法可分为两类:单根等高线综合算法和成组等高线综合算法。本文分别对这些算法的原理进行了详细介绍,认真分析了每种算法的优缺点,并且对这些算法的研究现状进行了综述,最后对目前等高线综合存在的问题进行了分析总结。%The contours are a special kind of curve elements.Due to its complexity,density,and diversity,automatic generalization of contour lines has become an important and difficult task in map compilation.Many scholars have studied the generalization of contours from different aspects,and have proposed many automatic generalization methods for contour lines, but none of them has solved the problem of automatic generalization of contour lines thoroughly.The methods of contour line generalization can be divided into two categories:single contour generalization algorithms and group contours generalization algorithms.This paper describes the principles of these algorithms in detail,carefully analyses the strengths and weaknesses of each algorithm,and summarizes the progress on the study of these algorithms.Finally,the problems existing in the generalization of contours are analyzed and summarized.
