T he paper applies the theory of reliability and the distribution value method to calculate β,the stability factor,using the designing data collected from a slope construction project. At the same time,the paper analyzes the shear strength of the rock and soil,and the impact it might trigger to β,by changing only one variable at a time. T he results indicate that the variation of shear strength leads to huge fluctuations of β. In this sense,such relation should be noted greatly if probabilistic limit state design method is used and practical measures need to be made to ensure the accuracy of β.%基于可靠性理论,结合某边坡工程设计资料,采用分位值法对稳定性可靠度指标β进行计算,同时采用单变量分析方法,分别计算并分析了岩土抗剪强度参数对β值的影响程度。分析表明,抗剪强度参数对β值的影响非常显著,在采用极限状态设计方法时,应重点关注这一情况,采取切实可行的方法保证其准确性。
