A new designed device for rearing Monolepta hieroglyphica adults was introduced. This device was made from cylindrical preserving container (8cm in diameter, 12cm in height), centrifuge tube (1. 5cm in diameter, 8cm in height), nylon net (60 mesh), stainless steel mesh (12 mesh), cellucotton (0. 5cm in thickness), petri dish (9cm in diameter) and filter paper (8cm in diameter). In order to collect and count the deposited eggs easily, a filter paper was used as an oviposition medium. This device can be used for rearing the adults and studying biological characteristics of M.
