The pipeline processing has changed the sequential pattern of the computer, through the overlap execution of the instructions, improves the instruction parallelism, has greatly improved the performance of a computer system. Aiming at the difficulties in the pipeline designing for the microprocessor, and through the analysis of the pipeline performance, This paper presents two key techniques which should be considered in the pipeline design: the method of selecting for the best pipeline stage and pipeline division,and briefly introduces the problem of clock allocation.%流水线技术的出现改变了计算机传统的顺序执行模式,通过指令的重叠执行,提高了指令执行的并行性,极大地提高了计算机系统的性能.针对微处理器流水线设计中的一些难点,通过分析流水线性能,给出了流水线设计中需要考虑的两个关键技术:流水线最佳级数的选取方法和流水线的划分,并简要介绍了时钟分配问题.
