They can be used as micro-magnetic sensors, electromagnetic wave absorption materials, hydro gen storage materials and elastic materials, etc. The preparation, influence factors, microstructure, and growth mechanism of helical carbon nanofibers are reviewed. Some problems in the research of helical carbon nanofibers are also summarized.
