光学浮区法生长高质量EuFeO3单晶

     

摘要

The EuFeO3 crystal with good quality was successfully grown using the optical-floating-zone method. The diameter of the crystal is about 6mm and the length is about 45mra The whole crystal rod was cut into several parts along the growth direction. SEM was employed to observe the morphology of the polished cross-sections, and EDS was employed to detect the content of the single crystal. The results show that the composition ratio between Fe and Eu is 1:1, The X-ray rocking wave indicates the high integrality of crystal structure. The magnetic magnetization of EuFeO3 along different directions shows strong anisotropy.The novel step-like magnetization along the c direction is discussed in terms of the change of the magnetization easy axis and the magnetization hard axis in the EuFeO3 crystal.%通过光学浮区法生长了直径约为6mm、长度约为45mm的高质量EuFeO3晶体.对所获得的晶体沿着生长方向进行切片并抛光,使用扫描电镜(SEM)观察不同切片表面的形貌,以了解晶体的生长过程,同时使用EDS能谱分析晶体成分,结果显示通过光学浮区法获得的EuFeO3晶体具有良好的成分一致性,铁元素与稀土铕元素物质的量比为1∶1.摇摆曲线结果显示晶体具有良好的结晶质量.对EuFeO3晶体进行磁性测量,发现EuFeO3晶体在不同方向上表现出强烈的磁各向异性,c轴方向上奇特的分步磁化现象可能是由于晶体内磁化难轴和易轴的改变所致.
