In the middle of the night, Ramona awoke to a noise. A ripple of fear suddenly ran through Ramona’s mind and she buried herself into the blanket. A moment later, another louder noise from the kitchen reached her ears. Ramona’s parents rushed to her room. Driven by curiosity, they inched their way to the kitchen and turned on the light, wanting to figure our what’s happening. Hardly had they arrived the kitchen when they saw their cat Picky-picky running away from the table in panic. At the sight of the messy scene, they were at a loss, totally speechless.
