从语法隐喻角度看英文表达中的名词化现象

摘要

本文运用韩礼德（H址day）关于概念语法隐喻的理论分析了英语表达中的名词化现象，指出英文中“不一致式”或“隐喻式”的作用是通过概念隐喻的名词化作用。使句子表达的信息度增大，句子内部级阶减小，体现英美人思维的准确性，客观性，科学性，并实现篇章的顺利衔接。%This paper analyses nominalization in English using Halliday＇s theory of grammatical metaphor of notions. It points out that the functions of incongruent form or metaphorical form is, by means of nominalization with grammatical metaphor of notions, to enlarge the information contained in sentences while reducing the hierarchies in them. This, in turn, helps English and Americans with their accuracy, objectivity and scientificity in their expressions and with their aim of achieving a smooth and coherent dis- course.
