摘要

Marked with singular and plural noun forms , English has partitive constructions functioning as classifiers, which reflects people 's cognitive understanding of the relevant categories represented by the nouns . Based on the degree of metaphor solidification and the compactness within partitive constructions , this paper aims to classify English partitive constructions and explore their metaphorical construction and evolutionary mechanism, in the hope of providing a theoretical guidance for the comprehension and acquisition of such constructions.%在以单复数标记性的英语中,充当量词功能的是表量结构,它反映了人类对事物范畴的理解和认识. 该研究尝试以隐喻固化程度和名量搭配的紧凑性为标准,对英语表量结构进行分类,并对其背后的建构和演化机制作认知阐释,以期对该类语言现象的理解和习得提供理论指导.
