American historian Becker has demonstrated three questions about the meaning of historical fact, namely: what is the historical fact, where does it exist at and when it happened. Answering these three ques-tions has great theoretical value to our understanding about historical fact. But according to these three ques-tions, we can come to the different conclusions from Becker. The so-called historical fact is the past people’ s words, things and characters that remain to the present in various forms ( relics, sites, writing, legends, cus-toms and habits, etc.) , and it has constant character.%美国历史学家贝克尔拟定了澄清历史事实的涵义的三个问题，即：历史事实是什么、历史事实在哪里、历史事实发生于何时。解答这三个问题对于我们理解历史事实具有重要的理论价值。但是根据对这三个问题的重新思考我们可以得出与贝克尔不同的答案。所谓历史事实，就是以各种形式（遗物、遗迹、遗文、传说、风俗习惯等）遗存下来的过去的人们说过的话、做过的事和写下的文字，它具有既定的性质。
